Michigan Municipal League staff and League members continued discussion Tuesday, June 15, 2010, about various issues related to local governments and state policies. During the session, which was a follow up to a May 24 meeting, officials set out to come up with proposed state-policy remedies. The ideas and solutions will now be presented to the League’s issue committees and then to the League’s Board of Trustees during their July retreat. If adopted by the Board, a formal rollout would take place later this summer or in the fall. So stay tuned to www.mml.org for details!

Attending the Lansing meeting included several municipal officials from throughout the state as well as League staff members – CEO Dan Gilmartin, Summer Minnick, Chris Hackbarth, Bill Mathewson, Tony Minghine, Heather Van Poucker, Colleen Layton, Samantha Jones Harkins, Andy Schor, Arnold Weinfeld, Sean Mann, Nikki Brown and Matt Bach.
