The Michigan Municipal League is now posting on its website regular items about the League's Board of Trustees. To get the latest Board activity go here. The Board recently met during the League’s annual Capital Conference (April 13-14, 2010) in Lansing. The Conference had a great turnout from members across the state, providing yet another great opportunity to network with fellow members, vendors, League staff, and innovative speakers.
During the Board meeting, there was a unanimous vote to eliminate the Environmental Affairs Assessment which results in a membership dues decrease of 12 percent. Also, the State of Your League report was introduced and copies are available online. The Trustees were also given an update on the positive impact and buzz surrounding the Let’s Save Michigan project. Check it out and join the 2010 Pledge to move Michigan in the right direction. The next Trustees meeting will be in June.
