A new white paper was recently released that advises communities on the controversial Michigan Medical Marihuana Act. The report, produced by Consultant Gerald A. Fisher, a professor of law at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Auburn Hills, was prepared at the request of the Michigan Municipal League and Michigan Townships Association and is intended to assist local governments. The Michigan Municipal League has already hosted or co-sponsored numerous training sessions on the law and will continue to work with communities to assist them in interpreting and administering the act.
