The House Judiciary Committee is planning on having a hearing on legislation to implement the statutory mandates commission’s recommendations, on May 5th.   There are several bills in the package, though it is unclear which will be the bills to see action ( HBs 5796-5802). This date is tentatively set as draft language is finalized but we will keep you updated if it changes. Please continue to pass resolutions (sample resolution below) in support of the Commission’s findings as well as to contact your legislator to ask them to support the legislation.
