Please review the attached letter from the Michigan Department of Transportation on the process that the department will be utilizing to ensure that all federal stimulus dollars allocated to Michigan are obligated for projects, prior to March 2, 2010 federal deadline.

 

The department is tracking instances where the low bid on a road project comes in below the final engineer’s estimate so that these savings can be incorporated back into the local program.  Please review the attached letter explaining the department’s process for handling these situations and let our office know if you need any assistance.
