Even before another revenue sharing cut became law, local officials were telling a survey team that more cuts are coming.  The information comes from the Michigan Public Policy Survey (MPPS) conducted this past spring by the University of Michigan Center for Local, State and Urban Policy.  The survey, done in partnership with the League, and Townships and County Associations, surveyed local government leaders to determine the crucial fiscal and economic issues for Michigan's communities.  This survey is the first in a new ongoing program designed to investigate local officials' opinions and perspectives on a variety of important public policy issues.  Two survey's per year will be conducted.  Local officials should recieve the fall survey questionnaire shortly.
