The Michigan Municipal League, Michigan State Chamber of Commerce and Michigan Environmental Council, have announced the formation of a new, broad-based transportation coalition.
The "Trans4M" coalition partners include nonprofits, businesses, policy makers, environmental groups, planners, academic institutions and others dedicated to establishing public policies that enable more frequent, reliable, and affordable transportation options and smart effective prioritization of upkeep for our existing roads and bridges.
The formation of the coalition comes at a critical time. Transportation funding continues to be a high priority discussion at the both the state and federal level. The League strongly believes that transportation infrastructure is a strategic investment that is essential to strengthening Michigan's economy and is the best way to create jobs and improve quality of life in our communities.
