This Wednesday, Summer Minnick of the League will be testifying on the impact of revenue sharing cuts over the past decade and the Governor's proposal to eliminate the existing program and replace it with a competitive program designed to promote "best practices" equalling roughly 2/3rds of the money that communities were getting under statutory revenue sharing. The House General Government subcommittee on Appropriations has asked the League to come and provide comments on the issue before the criteria from the Governor are released. We expect the details of that new program to be unveiled by the administraion some time this month.
