The final three Michigan By Rail public forums are set to take place over the next few weeks, with the next one scheduled for Thursday, November 18th in Kalamazoo.  Kalamazoo Mayor Bobby Hopewell and Portage Mayor Peter Strazdas will be joined by a number of state elected officials as the statewide discussion on the future of passenger rail in Michigan continues.  The goal of this effort is to help engage Michigan residents in this important infrastructure discussion and provide feedback for the Michigan Department of Transportation as they develop Michigan's Statewide Rail Plan.  Following Thursday's event, two final forums are scheduled for December 1st in Muskegon and December 9th in Ann Arbor.  The League is a co-sponsor of these events and I encourage everyone to attend one of these forums if you have the chance.
