June 19-25 declared "Small Cities Week" by NLC

The National League of Cities has declared the week of June 19-25 as "Small Cities Week".

As noted in the NLC press release, the week is meant to "celebrate the accomplishments of the nation’s small communities and draw attention to the essential roles small cities and towns play in American life"

Given that a majority of MML membership is under 10,000 in population, the League encourages leaders in small communities are welcome to join in the celebration by issuing a proclamation, issuing a press release or holding community events.
