Michigan Congressman Sander Levin has introduced H.R. 992, which would providing financing for infrastructure investments by extending the "Build America Bonds" program.
Specifically, the bill would extend eight bond, tax credit and loan guarantee programs for states and municipalities that are part of the program. The Build America Bonds program has helped finance $181 billion in infrastructure projects in the past two years.
The bill has been referred to the House Ways and Means Committee of which Congressman Levin is the ranking Democratic member and Michigan Congressman Dave Camp is the chair.
