Next Wednesday the House Government Operations Committee will hear testimony on HB 4205, a bill that would repeal Public Act 312 of 1969, the law requiring binding arbitration for public safety unions.
PA 312 has been increasing costs for local units for decades, and the League has been pushing for changes to PA 312 for a number of years (42 years if we're being exact). The League will be testifying at Wednesday's committee hearing.
