This afternoon the House passed reforms to the Urban Cooperation Act, HBs 4309-4312. The bills remove barriers to cooperating and sharing services.
Rep. Paul Opsommer (R-DeWitt) has led the charge on these bills since his first term, and we'd like to thank him and the other bill sponsors, Reps. Kowall, Denby and Hooker.
The bills passed the House on party lines, and we appreciate the legislators who voted for these important reforms. We look forward to working on these bills as they head to the Senate.
