The House Energy & Technology Committee took limited testimony on a bill today that would require that a biofuel production facility be a permitted use in an agricultural zoning district and is not subject to site plan approval. The testimony on HB 4838 centered around a problem that happened in a specific township, and the legislation would create a statewide requirement for a single community's situation.  The League is opposed to the legislation as introduced and is working with the bill sponsor and committee chair on amendments to the bill.
