The House Regulatory Reform Committee took testimony last week on a HB 4575, a bill that allows local units of government to adopt green building codes. The League submitted a card in support of this legislation along with the Michigan Townships Association, the Michigan League of Conservation Voters and the Michigan Environmental Council.  This legislation gives communities the option of adopting green building codes to encourage construction of energy efficient buildings.
