This morning the House Government Operations Committee reported a bill that substantively reforms PA 312 of 1969, HB 4522 (see committee adopted version: hb4522.h4.pdf (23.11 kb)

The bill contains critical reforms needed to help our communities including reforms to ability to pay and internal comparables. It also speeds up timelines to ensure arbitrations are resolved more quickly.

We expect the House to take up the bill on the House floor as early as this week.
