This morning the House Energy & Technology committee kicked off discussion on HB 5334, a bill that would allow yard waste to be placed in landfills that meet certain conditions. It would then allow the methane capture from that waste.  The committee only took about 10 minutes of testimony before it had to vote on a different package and adjourn, but I anticipate the discussion will continue in the coming weeks. The League is support of this legislation as well as its Senate companion bill, SB 725.
