Yesterday the Michigan House Republicans announced cuts totaling $1.38 billion in response to Michigan's budget crisis.  The cuts include carrying forward the revenue sharing cut that the Governor included in her executive order a few months ago.  On the other hand, the caucus is also proposing some positives for local units of government including using federal stimulus money for road and bridge projects and reforms including PA 312 and the Urban Cooperation Act.
