Today the Governor proposed her executive budget (actually the Budget Director Bob Emerson presented it). Local units of government are being proposed to get the same amount as they did last year (which retains that small increase from last year). I know this should be happy news since there were several hundred million dollars cut from the budget (which is $1.4 Billion in the red) - including education. However, since we've seen over $3 billion stripped away in the past 8 years...it's hard to celebrate. Hopefully someday we will be back in a position to adequately fund revenue sharing.
