Last week the Governor signed the Urban Cooperation Act package, HBs 4309, 4311 and 4312.
The bills were the result of months of meetings and negotiation between the League and union groups to hammer out a compormise that provided certainty to both employers and employees.
The new laws remove language that says every employe must be transferred to a new entity and language that says no employee may be harmed in wages or benefits, encouraging creation of authorities.
