On Wednesday October 26th, Governor Snyder will deliver his special message on infrastructure and transportation at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. The Governor’s message is expected to address Michigan’s roads, road funding, bridges, and public transit.  This will be the Governor's  fourth special message of the year. The other messages have been on  local government reform, education and health and wellness.

In anticipation of the special message on transportation, the League has been involved in several meetings with members from the Governor’s office and other stakeholder groups working together to help provide direction for the message.  The League also hosted Michigan’s Transportation Vision: A Twitter Talk in September. This event featured five transportation experts discussing solutions that have developed in other states, bold new ideas, and what changes Michigan must make.
