ChargePointAmerica is a program funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) that gives communities an opportunity to apply for free charging stations for electric vehicles. The program is open to communities in the Lansing, Detroit and Grand Rapids regions. Communities can apply through the end of the year.
In other electric vehicle news, the Electriciation Coalition out of Washington, DC has issused a new report on fleet electrification. The report includes an examination of government fleets and emphasizes ways to encourage adoption of electric fleets by governmental entities.
