The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) is asking the feds for $290 million in Recovery Act funds to help tear down blighted buildings and revitalize neighborhoods in 12 cities across Michigan.  The application is a collaboration between MSHDA, local communities and land banks under the NSP2 program competition being carried out by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
