The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has placed the issue of wireless tower siting on its November 18th agenda.  According to the FCC press release, a memorandum opinion and order on promoting the deployment of wireless broadband services by reducing delays in the construction and improvement of wireless networks, while also preserving local zoning authority will be discussed.  Local government associations have submitted comments on the matter.  Should the commission's decision be adverse to communities, additional action such as a appeal will be considered.
