Driver responsibility fee bill moves to House floor

Yesterday the House Transportation Committee reported SB 166, a bill that would eliminate some portions of the Driver Responsibilty Fee. The fee funds fire protection grants for eligible local units of government, so the League was concerned about protecting this funding.

The committee did add an amendment to protect fire protection grants, and the bill passed committee unanimously. The legislation now heads to the full House for approval.
