This afternoon HBs 4770-4771 passed the Senate. Thsee bills prohbiit public employers from offering domestic partner benefits and probhibit domestic partner benefits as a subject of collective bargaining.  The League opposes this legislation, and it passed the Senate 27-9.

The Senate amended the bills so they do not apply to public universities as they see this as a Constitutional violation.

Assuming the House concurs (which is likely), the bills will head to the Governor for his signature.
