In the coming session days, the Senate is going to take up SB 190, the cable dispute resolution bill.  Senator Van Woerkom has come up with a great idea to allow the MPSC to assess attorney fees against a party who brings a frivolous complaint. The MPSC has been telling lawmakers that it wants to prevent frivolous complaints, and this would provide a solution to that issue. The amendment would discourage a community from filing a frivolous complaint but would not deter legitimate complaints.  We view this as a great compromise for this issue, and would ask our members to call your Senator and ask them to support the Van Woerkom amendment!
