I am currently in the Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference. If you've ever been to one you know they are about 3 to 4 hours long, contain somewhat dry economic analyses, and the golden piece of info everyone comes for doesn’t come out until the very end. The one thing that is different this time is that there are a few presentations specifically related to the auto industry and the potential outcomes of the decline of the auto sector in Michigan and nationally. The most shocking statistic from my view: loss of auto jobs over 30 years. In Michigan we've gone from 482,000 to 112,228. Nationally those numbers are 1 million to 201,249. Wow! Ok...I need more coffee....more later.
