Cable dispute resolution bill passes the House

Yesterday, HB 4247, the cable dispute resolution bill, passed the House unanimously.  An amendment was offered by Rep. Barnett that calls for "reasonable, non-excessive" attorney fees. While this language isn't as far-reaching as we'd hoped, this is certainly a step in the right direction to continue working on this issue in the Senate. What is perhaps most impressive about this issue over these last few weeks is that there is clearly a group of legislators in the House (as evidenced by 63 votes on last week's amendment) who are committed to their communities. And now off to the Senate!
