Brownfield Reprogramming Workgroup Meeting Set and Documents Provided

The Department of Environmental Quality has scheduled the next Brownfield cleanup program redesign stakeholder meeting for August 26^th at Lansing Community College West Campus.  The discussion will begin and 9:00 and expects to conclude around 1:30, working through the lunch hour.  They have released 10 new documents for review for that meeting, and they have been added to the League’s Brownfield webpage at: http://www.mml.org/advocacy/brownfields/index.html.  Participants are requested to bring a copy of the documents with them to the meeting.  Additional draft documents will be sent out early next week for provisions regarding civil actions brought by the state and parties other than the state, criminal actions, liens, red-tagging and settlement authority (including covenant not to sue).
