As I have reported in previous blog posts, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality is holding workgroups about reprogramming the Brownfield cleanup program laws. Several stakeholders have been invited.  The next cleanup program redesign stakeholder meeting will be August 6th at Lansing Community College West Campus.  All League members are welcome.  The MDEQ has provided several documents that they will review at the meeting.  They are titled as follows:

 - Liability-causation, arrangers and transporters 7-31-09

 - Liability-failure to conduct inquiry 7-31-09

 - Liability-joint and severable divisibility of harm 7-31-09

 - Liability-claims under other statutes 7-31-09

 - Liability party claims and contribution 7-31-09

 - Limited liability relief statutory language 7-31-09

 - Liability-relevant discussion group recommendations 7-31-09
