Broadband and Census workshops offered

Register now for workshops being offered next month that will provide information and strategies on the Census and second round of broadband funding from the Recovery Act . These one-day seminar's, being co-sponsored by the League, are being held to prepare local officials for the next round of broadband funding and to assist with developing strategies for the upcoming census.  Broadband is critical for economic growth and census data is used to determine federal funding and representation in Congress.  The census is set to begin April 1 and it is vitally important to develop a strong census plan to ensure accurate counts.     Arnold Weinfeld is Director of Strategic Initiatives and Federal Affairs for the Michigan Municipal League.  He can be reached at 517-908-0304 or by e-mail.
