Today as you will see in our other post on the same subject, SB 1072, which amends PA 312 to expand the bill to authorities passed the House floor. There were some very impassioned speeches on both sides regarding this issue. However, one of the most amazing was from Representative Rick Jones (R- Grand Ledge) who supported the expansion of the act without any cost saving reforms that the League was advocating for. In his speech to support expanding PA 312 he said "If cities are losing these awards they need to hire better city managers." If you would like to contact Rep.
