Guiding Change” is the theme for the 2011 Asset Management Conference taking place Oct. 27 in Escanaba.

This theme was selected by the Michigan Transportation Asset Management Council because change is inevitable – it is here whether we like it or not. The council has been working with the local agencies in sharing the concept that changing from a “worst first” approach to an “asset management” approach of improving our Michigan roads and bridges helps ensure that public dollars are spent as efficiently as possible.

The goal of the conference is that each attendee will leave the conference with a better understanding of how asset management principles can assist them to adapt to our changing.
