Here we are, 24 hours after the Governor released the list of state projects that will receive stimulus money (full list found here: http://www.michigan.gov/documents/gov/inventory_267577_7.htm), and what seems like a great list appears to be missing something. As you take a close look at it, it doesn't appear to have any local transportation projects.
Don't fret, my friends. This list is just the list of state(i.e. MDOT) projects. We have been assured that the local projects that have been submited to the municipal planning organizations (MPO's) are in good shape and are proceeding through the process.
So please don't worry if you don't see your local transportation projects on this list. Should you have any questions, please make sure you contact your local MPO or the Rural Task Force (depending on who you've submitted projects to). Contact: Dave Worthams
