Asset Management, which is required to be implemented by all road agencies in the state (PA 199 of 2007), is an approach to our transportation infrastructure that will make our efforts more efficient by helping us prioritize our road needs. To help locals start the asset management process, the Michigan Transportation Asset Management Council is holding two conference on the topic.
Please save the dates: May 19, 2009 (held at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center - East Lansing) and June 4, 2009 (held at the Ramada Marquette - Marquette).
The objective of the conference is to examine the relationship between asset management, pavement management, and road funding, using various examples from road agencies in Michigan and across the country.
The cost of the event is $30 for the first participant and $25 for addtional staff. More information about the program can be found here:2009 Asset Management Conference Flyer.pdf (300.75 kb).
Register for the conference by calling the Michigan Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) at 906-487-2102.
