No matter what your role in local government, you are impacted by numerous budget and finance issues every day. The goal of this session is to help non-finance professionals understand the complicated world of municipal finance. Topics will range from budget preparation, to reading financial statements, to water rates. We will try and cover the gamut of finance-related issues that every local government faces. Participants will gain a deeper understanding that will help them be more effective no matter what their role.
